For a decade Flash was our bread and butter: deeply engaging experiences delivered into a clumsy browser ecosystem — award-winning music sites, bespoke video players and the frame-by-frame vector animation of Pink Floyd’s ‘Wish You Were Here’. It held the modern web back and pushed it forward at the same time, and I could make it do things it had no business doing.
