Hand-written HTML since 1993 — the year HTML, Mosaic and httpd arrived; before CSS, before the div. I care about the parts that are easy to skip: semantics, accessibility, and document structure that still makes sense with the styles turned off. Markup is the load-bearing wall of the web, and I treat it that way.
