In June 2026 I moved from the south coast of England to Pargas, in the Åboland archipelago on Finland’s southwest coast, and founded Ruunda — a creative-technology studio built around a simple idea: technology is a substrate, and the point is what reaches a person.
Ruunda builds the software, hardware and electronics that carry visual, musical and digital art to the people who experience it — sound recording and music, writing and composition, visual art and design, and the live performances where all of it meets an audience. Alongside the art sits information: clear communication, deep data and serious computation, the same substrate put to work helping people understand, decide and build. It is also where my own music-making picks back up — writing, producing and releasing again, this time from the archipelago.
The studio is small on purpose. The people who take on the work are the people who do it. Below the waterline we favour proven, unglamorous technology, and keep the ambition for what shows above it.
